Prudential names Freddie Mac exec CIO
New Jersey-based Life insurance company Prudential Financial is hiring Stacey Goodman as its CIO.Goodman will serve as a member of Prudential’s Executive Leadership Team and report to Robert Falzon, Prudential vice chair. She succeeds Barbara Koster, who worked with Prudential for 23 years and led numerous advancements in the company’s technology talent, structure and processes before announcing her retirement in December 2018.
She comes to Prudential from Freddie Mac, where she worked as CIO leading all enterprise technology initiatives and serving on the Senior Operating Committee. Previously, she was chief information and operations officer at CIT, where she helped build out the digital bank platform that grew deposits three-fold from 2012 to 2016, and modernized core platforms to support business growth, productivity, mobility and regulatory goals. She also held global positions at Bank of America, UBS and Salomon Brothers. She also had a public-sector experience and served on the U.S. Department of Treasury’s Office of Financial Research Advisory Committee.

Merrill Corporation has appointed Dixon Gould as CIO. He will be a member of the company’s leadership team, reporting to Merrill Corporation CEO Rusty Wiley. He will be responsible for developing the enterprise Information & Communications Technology strategy, including internal enterprise systems, data management, infrastructure, IT governance, and information security. Previously, he worked as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of ABILITY Network, now part of Inovalon, a technology company that provides cloud-based tools to support data-driven healthcare.
Mobile ticketing platform SeatGeek has appointed former Tumblr and The New York Times executive Brian Murphy as CTO. Based out of SeatGeek’s headquarters in New York, he will lead the company's domestic and international engineering teams, and oversee the development of product and technology across its primary ticketing partners. He joins SeatGeek after three years at Tumblr as CTO. Before that, Brian was Vice President of Engineering at The New York Times, and spent nearly a decade as the Senior Director of Technology at Condé Nast.
U.S. Steel has promoted Steven Bugajski as CIO. Bugajski joined the steel producer in 2008, and advanced through increasingly responsible roles in the company’s Information Technology organization, including leading the global teams for Infrastructure, Business Processes, Project Management and Administration, Transaction Processing and Enterprise Applications. He has served as Interim Chief Information Officer and General Manager – Global Business Service Center following the retirement of Charles Balawajder in May 2019.
Black Knight Inc. has appointed Peter Carrara as CIO. He will lead Florida-based company's Information Technology Services group, where he will manage the technology infrastructure planning and deployment in support of Black Knight's clients and internal technologies. Previously, Carrara worked as global head of infrastructure at TradeWeb, and earlier in his career he held senior technology leadership positions at RBC, JPMorgan Chase, Credit Suisse, Citi and Salomon Smith Barney.
