Merging the IT and Digital roles
At Quest Diagnostics, it is time to consolidate two enterprise technology roles — CIO and CDO. The medical diagnostic information provider has appointed Gabrielle Wolfson as chief information and digital officer. A former Xerox CIO, she took on the dual role this month to lead information technology, data informatics and digital solutions for Quest Diagnostics. These include the company's Quanum suite of healthcare IT solutions and data analytics, myQuest patient mobile app and portal, and digital engagement for the company's 2,200 patient service centers.
At Xerox, Wolfson led efforts to drive cost and complexity from the company's technology infrastructure and create a dynamic digital business. Prior to Xerox, shewas CIO for Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, where she led the global digital transformation for the company's reservation, ecommerce and marketing platforms. She also worked as CIO for both Integra Life Sciences and Par Pharmaceutical, and a practice leader for life sciences and pharmaceutical industries for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
