Nike CIO Departs to Join Merck
Pharmaceutical major, Merck has hired Nike’s global CIO Jim Scholefield as its Chief Information and Digital Officer, after its Global CIO Clark Colestani retired from the company in April.
In his new role, Scholefield will sit on the company's executive committee, overseeing the drugmaker's IT, digital strategy and cybersecurity. While at Nike, Scholefield led the creation of the company’s enterprise architecture, including the upgrade of critical infrastructure and delivery of state-of-the art cyber-security.
