Container Store shores up new Digital Leader
Within four months of hiring a former Sephora executive as CEO, Container Store has appointed Dhritiman Saha as Executive Vice President and CIO.
Saha is among the top executives recently hired by the specialty retailer of storage and organization solutions and custom closets that was hurt by the Covid-19 pandemic since the beginning of the 2020 fiscal year. Expecting new leaders to bring a unique lens of the retail world and a fresh thinking, CEO Satish Malhotra said, "These five roles will further strengthen our leadership team and help lead the growth strategies we have set forth across all areas of our business.”
Saha joins The Container Store as our Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer in May 2021, bringing more than 27 years of expertise in P&L, leading and managing multi-billion dollar ecommerce transformation & growth, digital marketing, subscription business, omnichannel customer experience, technology and global operations. Prior to joining The Container Store, Dhriti served as the Chief Digital Officer at GameStop from February 2021 to April 2021 and led e-commerce business, digital marketing & customer experience, online assortment expansion, digital and omnichannel technology & product management. Prior to GameStop, Dhriti served as Global Chief Customer and Digital Officer at Bodybuilding.com from December 2018 to February 2020 and as Senior Vice President of Digital for JCPenny from April 2014 to December 2018.

Commercial real estate finance company, Greystone has appointed Niraj Patel as CIO. Jonathan Russell, President and CEO of Greystone’s corporate operations IT group, will retire at the end of 2021 and, in the meantime, help transition the role of leading Greystone’s technology group. Patel brings more than two decades of IT leadership experience and joins Greystone from DMI, a digital services and consulting agency, where he served as Global Head of Artificial Intelligence and analytics. Before DMI, he was the CIO of Lending Platforms at IBM Global Business Services. Before that, he worked as the Chief Strategy Officer at Selex ES in New York and has also served as a Group President and Co-Founder of ISGN and CIO of GMAC Commercial Holdings.
Purdue University has appointed Ian Hyatt as its CIO. He joins the university leadership team and will oversee information technology throughout the Purdue system and head Information Technology at Purdue Purdue’s central IT organization. ITaP operates the "Purdue System Cloud" ‒ the IT infrastructure that spans three statewide campuses and offers a nationally recognized high-performance computing complex that supports Purdue’s computational research. Hyatt will be charged with continuing to integrate software solutions – such as SAP, SuccessFactors and Brightspace – as well as building a robust information security strategy across the Purdue system. He will have responsibility for the annual systemwide IT spend of $160 million and staff of more than 1,100, and will directly manage ITaP’s staff of 500 and annual $85 million budget. He will report to Chris Ruhl, executive vice president and chief financial officer and treasurer.
Electronic instruments and electromechanical devices manufacturer AMETEK has promotedStewart Douglas as Vice President and CIO, following the retirement of Ken Weirman who held the same position since joining AMETEK in 2010. "We are pleased to announce Stewart’s promotion to this important role, as he has been a valuable contributor to our IT organization,” said David A.
